Never in the history of the White House has a First Lady spent so much on so many personal assistants, all paid from taxpayer dollars. Hilary had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower, social help came from the President’s own pocket.
This simply is not true, as Hillary had 20 aides, plus several interns and volunteers. Where I disagree with the push to shove unwanted legislation down our throats, and ignoring the Constitution in the process by this administration, I cannot let these details that are truly unfounded to stand so I have deleted the post except for the main paragraph and links to fact or fiction and the sources. It is my sincere apology to readers for not looking at this story closer to verify it to be factual. And also know, that I don’t like waste in government regardless of how many administrations do it previously. A First Lady is not elected and should not require an army of helpers, especially during a deep recession. That is just MHO.

Here we go again…
Ann Coulter has a new article on Human Events Called “The Grating Communicator”. It concerns the Chicago Mob in the White House attacking Fox News and implying they “aren’t a news organization”.
The Obama administration has attacked Fox News in order to prevent government corruption stories broken on Fox from bleeding into the other media, which are all-consumed with daily updates on Levi Johnston’s Playgirl spread and Carrie Prejean’s breast implants.
That’s understandable. But I think the administration should have picked someone other than David Axelrod to deliver the claim that Fox News is “not really news,” inasmuch as Axelrod was behind the leak of scurrilous allegations in Jack Ryan’s sealed divorce papers when he was running for a Senate seat against Obama. Talk about vicious personal gossip.
It seems there is an air of hypocrisy in allowing Obama’s head “Enforcer” to imply that Fox News is somehow not reporting “real news”. Personally, I am sick of the White House behaving like a bunch of school yard bullies, meting out punishment to those who disagree with what they are doing. She goes on to explain the “Willie Horton Ads” during Bush Sr’s campaign and why they were relevant and not what the left wing loons try to imply while using a doctored version of the ad. It is like now we all get to listen to the arguement that anyone who does their job in journalism and shows the public the corruption that is out there, aka ACORN, is part of a viciouis attack on innocent liberals. Same ole, same ole.

White House bloggers have focused the most attention on Fox prime time host Glenn Beck. They have derided his “disregard for the facts” and his “attempt to smear” the administration for, among other things, lobbying the Olympic Committee for the 2016 games.
Surely every president has to endure his share of intense criticism from those in the media establishment that disagree with him or his policies. So scathing critiques of the office are nothing new.
Dunn, Gibbs, and the left’s anti-Fox crusaders would have Americans believe that the sort of ‘opinion journalism’ they are combating is somehow confined to the right; that conservatives, unlike liberals, will “take any small thing and distort it.” But the left certainly has its share of network television shills.
This has been just about the dumbest move ever made by a presidency/cabinet/advisors that I have ever seen. Fox is the only news organization that isn’t taking their cues from the Obama administration and isn’t busy pandering and butt kissing to report on issues that concern everyone in this country. If you have never watched Glenn Beck, perhaps you should. All week long he has had a special phone with a number that Anita Dunn has just so she can call in and give him the facts that disputes what he is saying on his program. She has yet to call in. I don’t know about you, but I have seen enough cowardly manipulations from the White House just on health care. Now they want to manipulate the news even more than they already do??? Six words for the dimwits running Obama’s show… Grow Up and Get a Brain!!!

The Black Wreaths are symbolically hung on the doors of this blog today as I honor the life of a wonderful man, husband and father, Mr. Z, and pay my respects to his family and friends.
Sunday, October 18, 2009: Today, at 2:00 pm (Pacific) I will be joining with Mrs. Z and the family of Mr. Z in prayer and silence as they lay the mortal husk of this awesome man to rest. I will include a prayer for my dear mother who was herself laid to rest on this same day in 1997. Being a Christian in my beliefs, I know that they have gone ahead of us to join with the Savior and we will all be with them in spirit someday. God determines when our work here is done and I shall always trust Jesus to keep his promises. I have felt the love and blessings enough in my lifetime to know that as it is written about my savior, so shall it be done. Mr. Z is now keeping company with the angels until we all meet again in our promised kingdom. All my love and prayers go out to Mrs. Z and her family as they grieve their loss in this life. May the love and precious memories sustain you.
Today, a very dear friend lost her beloved husband. I am overwhelmed with sadness and wish to express my deepest condolences and love. May God be with her in her time of loss.

For 2nd Amendment readers… at Texas Freds.
Right now the 2nd Amendment rights of American’s are once again under attack, as 450 Mayors Petition Obama To Adopt Broad Gun Reform. There is only ONE MAYOR on the entire list from Texas. Given how much most Texans love their guns, this is very odd. Even the liberal stronghold of Austin didn’t have a mayor on the list.
Now these mayors have taken to the idea that if you ban guns and make it difficult to obtain a legally registered gun, somehow the criminals in our society will comply and there will be no more gun crimes. The whole issue is a liberal gun grab under the guise of “being against criminals with guns”.
My dear friend, gun enthusiast and PGR cohort, Tailgunner blew away the idea that gun bans make law abiding citizens safer:
Let’s see now – cocaine has been outlawed, so no one snorts cocaine or smokes crack. Robbing banks is illegal, so nobody robs banks. Smoking pot is against the law, so nobody smokes pot. Drunk driving is a criminal offense, so nobody drives drunk. So it naturally follows that, if guns are made illegal, nobody will have a gun, and the whole world will be just like Mister Roger’s neighborhood! Yeah, right. The lie: Banning guns keeps the people safer.
The truth: Washington D.C. enacted a ban on handguns in 1976. Between 1976 and 1991, Washington D.C.’s homicide rate rose 200%, while the U.S. rate rose 12%.Flash back to March 30th, 1981. John Hinckley Jr. shoots President Ronald Reagan outside the Hilton Hotel in Washington DC. But how could that have happened? Virtually all guns had been banned in Washington for 5 years! Gee – maybe it is true after all that criminals will consistently ignore just one more law, tote their gun with them anyway, and use that illegal gun to commit a crime! Ya think?
Reagan was also surrounded by Secret Service agents (arguably the finest security people in the world) and Washington DC police officers when he was shot. So much for some people’s belief and assertion that a ban on guns and law enforcement officers nearby (or 20 minutes away) will prevent gun violence by criminals…
Tailgunner has laid out the reality of what bans are really all about. Texas Fred advocates responsible gun ownership and knowledge and is quick to point out when idiots own guns what can happen. Training and a keen understanding of one’s responsibility is always at the forefront when guns are the subject on his blog.
Today, Texas Fred emailed the mayor of Hurst, Texas about his being the only mayor in Texas to join a “left-wing gun grab group”. Mayor Richard Ward touts a Christian education, church affiliation, involvement with everything from little league to boy scouts, etc on his web site, The City of Hurst, Texas.
So imagine the surprise when this mayor responded in this childish fashion:

As to your question, how does it feel to be the only Mayor in Texas to be a member of MAIG. It feels wonderful. At least one mayor has the guts (actually I preferred another word) to stand up for what is right. I am sending you an attachment that I put together. You will likely have to have your wife or child read it to you. It has some big words in it. But… have it read to you with an open mind and you might realize that we are all seeking the same thing. Get the criminals and illegal guns off the streets.

Cary at The O Word blog, has had an email exchange with Mayor Ward that has yet to get a simple answer to his question, “I ask you, Mayor Ward, why you would belong to a group that, on the surface, would appear to be unnecessary? The only group of people I can think of that would be in SUPPORT of illegal guns would be criminals themselves.” Well Mr. Mayor, we await your answer.
G-20 Protests vs. Tea Party and Town Hall Protests.
Comparing the Tea Parties to the G20 protests – the violence, destruction and hypocrisy of the Left
For months now anyone who has attended a Tea Party or has spoken out against Obama’s plans has been subject to accusations of inciting violence by the Left. Nancy Pelosi went so far as to feign tears while talking about the murder of a Democrat in the 70s by another Democrat – trying to associate that murder with the Right Wing. Is the Left calling the G20 protesters racist Nazis who incite violence? They are obviously protesting Obama as well as the rest of the G20 members. The ACLU actually had the gall to say the protest was peaceful. You can see in the video below that it was anything but. The video does not show the destruction of businesses that are in the area. I’m sure as the days go by there will be more videos appearing.
The 912 Tea Party had a guestimated 75,000 people (there are many other numbers out there so I’ll just low ball this one so it doesn’t make the Left look AS bad), the G20 protest numbers have been in the hundreds to 3,000. There were no arrests at the Tea Party; the final number of arrests at the G20 protest is not in yet. There was no vandalism at the Tea Party; there has been a lot of vandalism of businesses at the G20 protest. There were no riot police at the Tea Party; they had riot police ready and waiting at the G20 protest. Apparently these G20 protesters are known for violence. Even the Right Wing extremists that may have attended the Tea Party were not violent or destructive!

The Tea Party protests earlier this month drew thousands more protesters, did not leave a mess in Washington, for others to “clean up”, and did not have a single arrest for unruly behavior. At the G-20 there were around 200 arrests according to Fox News this morning. There are those who claim the police act in favor of the right wing protests. If you watch the videos of the protests at the Examiner site, you will realize it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why the G-20 crowd required police action and the Tea Party people did not. No bias there, just police doing what the occasion called for. Once again the left wing lunatics demonstrate for the American people what “an Angry Mob” really looks like and how they behave. The First Amendment of the Constitution reads:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
There is nothing there about destroying property or acting out aggressively toward authority as a component of free speech. Yet the liberals in Congress want to call the Tea Party participants “Angry Mobs” and “Un-American”??? Homeland Security gets away with labeling us as “Right Wing Extremists” and our returning troops are labeled “potential terrorists”. That is all quite laughable when one views the truth on film and makes the comparison. Come election time in 2010 many of those who are so quick to listen to the leaders who ignore the facts will probably experience buyer’s remorse for buying into the spin that Obama, Pelosi and Reid are selling.

The families of America’s young men and women who serve in our military are special. Some of them promote service to our country as a family tradition, and some enter the realm of being Blue Star families begrudgingly. The one thing they all have in common is the fact they come to the place where supporting their “troop” or in some cases “troops”, as a top priority, once they accept a young man or woman’s decision to serve in our military. I still remember the pride I felt when I was at Ft. Benning for Aaron’s boot camp graduation and for his graduation from jump school. Watching him grow from a kid to a young man with a pride in his accomplishments and sense of purpose was a joy. I remember displaying my Blue Star banner in the front window of my home where I would see it every time I pulled into the drive. I also put a Blue Star banner static sticker on the rear window of my car. Maybe it’s because it is a moment no parent wants to think of, a moment when you think the world has indeed ended, that a young uniformed officer shows up in your world with a notice that states … “We regret to inform you…”, but we don’t give a lot of notice to Gold Star Families beyond the funerals, taps being played, prayers going out and shock that stops whole communities in their tracks with the understanding that “one of their own” has fallen. But this post is to honor our county’s Gold Star families.
This weekend in Washington DC, many of the families of our nation’s fallen troops, Gold Star family members, will converge on our nation’s capitol, for the “Weekend of Remembrance”. The Gold Star Dinner will be held at the Hilton in Washington DC in the evening of September 25th and the families will attend the “A Time of Remembrance” ceremony on the steps of the Capitol on September 26th.
You might be asking yourself, what can anyone do to support these families at this time. I would suggest three things you might want to consider. During the weekend, if you are person of faith, add these families to your prayer list and pray for their safety and comfort. You can also observe a moment of silence on September 26th to honor our fallen troops of all generations. Another small but import thing you can do is to google search Gold Star Families in your state and find the website. Read about them and their local activities in your home state and if you are able, send them a small donation to help support their activities. They do a lot to help and support families during the hardest times in their lives and are very worthy of our support in any way we can give it. But most importantly, do not forget their fallen loved ones. Every time you read an obituary for a fallen military hero remember what their sacrifice truly is. It is a young man or woman who has given up their privilege of not just being alive in this world, but the privilege of having a career, many times of having a marriage and children, of building a home and family with someone, or of seeing their children grow up, marry and having grandchildren. The entire list of joys in life that we all take for granted are the simple pleasures they forego in order to defend the people and Constitution of the United States. Remember to that the families make an even greater sacrifice in that they must struggle every day of their life coming to grips with their loss. Remember them, don’t forget just how much you owe them.
In Abe Lincoln’s letter to Mrs. Bixby during the War Between the States, the whole core of what it means to be a Gold Star family is truly stated. I won’t go into the historical issues, such as Mrs. Bixby’s believed “con job” to get government money or the fact that it is believed that the letter was penned by John Hay, a White House secretary, it is the “timeless content” I wish to impart here.

Regardless of who wrote this letter, and the circumstances behind it, I don’t think it could be put any better than this in regard to the sacrifice made by these families. During the 1860-65 timeframe, it was learned by many that there is no glory in war, only honor and brotherhood. Many thanks and much love goes out to our Gold Star Families, now, always and forever.

Pelosi Fearful of Political Violence
Should we be fearful of political violence? Speaker Nancy Pelosi thinks so, and said that the current rhetoric reminds her of what she witnessed in San Francisco in the 1970s. ABC News has a video of this statement. Transcript below…
What happened in the late 70’s in San Francisco? Well let’s see, oh yeah, the first openly gay man to win political office, Harvey Milk who was a county supervisor was assassinated in 1978. Milk along with San Francisco Mayor George Moscone was shot by former supervisor Dan White. So basically she’s equating what is being seen in Tea Parties to political assassination.
We do need to maintain civility. It is important, especially for those who are Christ-followers. That doesn’t mean we can’t voice dissent. Chuck Colson yesterday had an excellent commentary on civility that we should all put into practice…

This is two days in a row that I have been shocked at how far this woman will go to misrepresent American citizens who happen to believe differently than her and her left wing constituency. To understand how crazy the envirokooks and moonbats are that elected Nancy, one needs to understand that for many generations, the San Joaquin Valley has been the bread basket of the West. If you missed Sean Hannity’s show yesterday, it boils down to the irrigation system that this part of California has depended on for years to grow their crops. Crops that have literally fed people all over the world for years, are now just empty fields of dry dirt. And why you may ask? Because the envirokooks have decided that a 2 inch smelt (fish) is endangered, so they have cut off water for irrigation to the Valley. You can get the full story of how families are poised to lose farms they have been working for generations, and workers have lost jobs, and the food they are bringing in to feed them comes from CHINA!!! This is yet another thing that is destroying our economy and nation. Wait until we hit the grocery over the coming months! All those empty fields mean higher grocery prices for us all! Watch this YouTube to get a better understanding of the situation that is causing so much despair among communities in the San Joaquin Valley.
All the mayors in the communities have penned a letter to Congress begging them to save the San Joaquin Valley. Seven times the Congressmen from the San Joaquin Valley have tried to introduce emergency action in the House of Representatives to get water pumped to these farms. Seven times Speaker Pelosi has blocked it from coming to the floor and a vote. So I guess a 2 inch, useless fish is more important than hard working people in California being able to produce crops and take care of their families. Speaker Pelosi must really hate her job, as she is making her party look like enemies of the American people. Withholding water must be her latest power trip. And of course, I’m sure her vinyards aren’t drying up!

Tea Party Express Takes Washington By Storm
They came. They saw. They protested.
Yet it remains to be seen whether the demonstration Saturday in the nation’s capital, against what protesters view as out-of-control spending by an expanding federal government, will conquer Washington.
The tens of thousands of protesters marched to the U.S. Capitol chanting various slogans and waving posters that voiced a rather broad array of grievances against big government and the leaders, particularly President Obama, who the protesters blame for its size and scope.
This came to me from a patriot who attended in Washington DC. It appears there were more than a “few” Americans there expressing their beliefs about how involved government should be in our everyday lives. Hey Congress!!! Listen Up!!!!

The 9/12 Washington, DC Tea Party Rally … What was the Attendance & Why the MSM is Downplaying the Numbers
Eight years later and none the wiser.
On this 8 year anniversary of the attacks on 9-11-2001, I have struggled to get in touch with how I truly feel about this country, the lessons that should have been learned, but show no signs of having been absorbed by the people of this country. Watching the images of the people who had to make a choice between jumping to their deaths or burning alive, I still wonder why politicians want to make a political issue out of Kalid Sheikh Mohammed getting water up his nose when 2996 innocent souls had died as a result of his evil planning. I guess if it’s not you or your loved ones who perish, it’s easy to play the “poor victimized terrorist” game. If you really hate America, it’s people and everything it stands for, you can look upon 2996 souls taken out in one day as “reparations paid for being an evil country”. I personally consider the left wing demands for punishing our CIA and those who acted in the interest of saving American lives, to be an extension of Al Qaida and enemies of the United States. I will say no more on this, but I will post here today, the thoughts of a dear friend, a retired Marine Corps officer, patriot, and fellow blogger given to his friends on this day. It says everything I have come to accept as the bitter truth about our country, so with his permission, I will let this speak for me… Regards, HAM.
My thoughts on 9/11 – by Mustang at Social Sense and Stacking Swivel
Eight years ago today, Muslim extremists launched an attack against the United States of America . An attack not directed at military targets, mind you … but against defenseless civilians who simply got up one morning and went to work, or who were flying to another city for business or personal reasons.
We might reflect upon the fact that these so-called 19-highjackers came to this country to learn the skills they would need in order to fly a large aircraft into a building. Our government granted visas to these men, even in spite of the fact that the names of several appeared on terrorist watch lists. We might also wonder why no one has ever held our government officials culpable for criminal negligence in setting into motion the circumstances that allowed this attack to take place.
Today, individuals from regions of the world foresworn to destroy ‘the infidel’ continue to receive visas to the United States . They come here to attend our engineering schools so that they can better learn how to destroy us. They come here wearing sheep’s clothing, for while they demand the rights of citizenship, they continue to preach hatred and teach Islamic sanctified terror in private academies and mosques from one coast of the United States to the other.
We have learned nothing from the past. Ignore the words spoken by high officials on this day; their lofty words and expressions cannot return to us our dead. In this sense, words and expressions of sympathy and regret are meaningless and pathetic. Their promises to do better in the future sound hollow. This lesson was not well-learned by the American people, for they have overwhelmingly elected avowed communists to the congress and white house —men and women who seek to undo 235 years of America’s unique refusal to allow anyone to step upon the backs of our necks.
The citizens of a nation who do not remain vigilant in their own defense, against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, deserve whatever happens to them. This is particularly true when they have elected the government of their own undoing.

Wikipedia has a very watered down, left leaning article about the virtues of ACORN. We all became aware of ACORN during the election when countless occurrences of voter fraud went on and calls for investigation went unheeded by Congress. Rather than investigate the occurrences of fraudulent voter registrations in Ohio, Nevada and other states (17 total), the Obama administration rewarded ACORN (Obama’s “pet organization) with millions of taxpayer dollars. (Retraction made, see details below, ACORN not put in charge of the 2010 Census) Also, ACORN was called upon to set up protests to pressure Obama’s critics. The Weekly Standard has a very interesting article on ACORN and the smoke and mirrors methods used that were Saul Alinski’s brain storm.

ACORN is a nonpartisan social justice organization, but its legally separate political action arm frequently champions liberal causes, and endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2008. ACORN has lobbied in every Democratic National Convention since 1980, and has had members elected as delegates to those conventions; ACORN has also lobbied at Republican conventions. ACORN has been criticized by Republicans for its support of a Democratic candidate, and for its general support of liberal political positions that are more often favored by Democrats.
So, now we are expected to trust a President that not only supports an Organization like ACORN, but instead of investigating the cases of voter fraud, hands them tax dollars without doing due diligence? We are supposed to believe that “the money for Health Care will be there”, even though the Senate Budget Committee says NO, just because Obama says so??? Maybe you should look at the list of 158 lies Obama has been caught in so far and while you are there check out “The Audacity of Unawareness”. It should make you wonder just how far you can trust this man and his pretty little speeches with no substance.
Now you can view first hand your tax dollars at work. A film maker with a hidden camera goes into an ACORN office for tax advice on starting his new business… a brothel with under aged girls from El Salvador on the menu. He said he fully expected to have the law called in and to get arrested. What he did get is indeed shocking.

We do not use any government funds to subcontract with any organization to do any activity. …We are not delegating anything to ACORN.
I stand corrected on this issue.
Second update as of 9-11-09: Given the emergence of more videos of ACORN employees giving advice on how to break the law, the U.S. Census Bureau has disassociated itself from ACORN, and they are NO LONGER PARTNERED with the CENSUS BUREAU. I guess one cannot argue when you are caught on video at more than one office.
Another note: I just heard a commenter named Carol Swain of Vanderbilt University say that “Fact Check.org” is a “left wing organization” in her opinion. This probably should be looked at closely.
How Chicago Politicians Deal With Opposition.
I received this email from a dear friend and patriot in New York City. I think people need to be aware of what is really happening in our country right now before it is too late. Please consider that the right to express your concerns, to elected leaders, at a town hall meeting is a Constitutional right. It is a right that many people around the world do not have and have come to this country because we have these rights.

What occurred in Reston, Virginia is instructive, since the incident reveals yet another facet of “street politics” being waged against voices opposing Obama, his administration, and the innumerable groups dedicated to helping him achieve his destructive political agenda.
This is not an isolated case. Similar incidents of verbal and physical strong-arm street tactics by police occurred during the 2008 election period and continue today.
Here, too, someone in authority gave this Reston, VA officer his marching orders—just as surely as the ACORN and union thugs got theirs (and paid-for busing) to disrupt Tea Party rallies across the nation. Does “Police State” under Obama come to mind?
Take a look at the video; you’ll be outraged by what this cop says and does. Imagine: a uniformed cop, a civil servant, brazen, even with the camera recording him, flagrantly suppressing an American citizen’s right to free speech.
HAM, please consider telling your readers this needs as much national exposure as possible (the media won’t give it). In the run-up to the 2012 election (which effectively began the day Obama assumed office), the left will surely ramp up this particular tactic:
Many of you may wonder what Nancy Pelosi meant when she used the term “Astroturf”. Well this YouTube video will give you an idea what she meant. It shows how “ProObamaCare” people attending town hall meetings are coached by Liberal organizers on how to disrupt and counter citizens who question the legitimacy of Obama’s plan.
If you think that it is AOK for anyone to deny you your Constitutional right to state your concerns to elected leaders, than you need to consider moving to a country that doesn’t have a Constitution and where government does what it wants with no rights given to you. These tactics have no place in a free society.

The Washington Post has a big write-up on flap over John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods Inc. Mackey’s sin was penning an Op-Ed that ran last week in the Wall Street Journal taking a conservative position on the ongoing health-care debate:
While we clearly need health-care reform, the last thing our country needs is a massive new health-care entitlement that will create hundreds of billions of dollars of new unfunded deficits and move us much closer to a government takeover of our health-care system. Instead, we should be trying to achieve reforms by moving in the opposite direction—toward less government control and more individual empowerment.
Oh, but people care. Mackey and Whole Foods are getting battered by irate progressives who are outraged that the CEO of such a progressive company would put his name to a conservative viewpoint. This is from the Post story: “‘Dear Store Manager,’ a member of the Boycott Whole Foods Facebook group wrote, ‘The 30 risotto cakes that I purchased from Jenkintown Whole Foods, last Friday, were scrumptious. But today they are giving me indigestion of the soul as I realize that my money may have funded the demise of the public option in the nation’s health care reform legislative debate.’”
So let’s see if I’m understanding this correctly, as my “moonbat-dar” is registering off the charts! Mackey, as a highly successful business man, has expressed his opinion based on his personal experience. Experience that includes creating about 50,000 good jobs with good benefits for his employees, and the far left progressive commies, instead of writing him personally to express their opinions on ObamaCare and giving the facts they base their opinions on… well, they just “boycott his stores”. Sounds to me like some people need to read the Constitution, and like, maybe start with the 1st Amendment!!!
Obviously the far left hates free speech as much as they hate Christians and Freedom. Their message to any and all who disagree and refuse to play lemming to the Obama socialist takeover… Shut Up!, or we’ll punish your 50 some thousand employees and their families! Seems to me if they were armed with any reliable facts whatsoever, they would take the opportunity to engage Mackey in debate. But alas, reasoning and logic must go out the window when you drink too much koolaid and buy into the socialist dream!
I suggest if you love free speech and the America we grew up with, you go out of your way to send the message by shopping at Whole Foods this week. Even if you have never shopped there before… especially if you have never shopped there before, do so now! Free Speech must be protected for all, not just Progressive shills, or we will lose it.
More Obama Care Manipulations? No!!!
Remember the cute “photo op” of the Obama’s taking their daughters to church on Easter Sunday in Washington DC??? No… OK, I don’t remember it either. Probably because it hasn’t happened. We’ve had flyover NYC and the “Fish and Chips in London” escapades though.
In fact, the only thing I remember is the newly sworn in President going off to the Middle East so he could present America to Islamic nations as NOT being a Christian nation. Given the “Way Far Left’s” tendency to persecute and vilify Christian anything in this country, the push to take “In God We Trust” off our dollars, and remove all reference to a “higher power” from our government, in the name of Separation of Church and State, I am surprised to find that, after years of sitting in Wright’s church listening to hate speech filled sermons, loaded with “misinformation”, that he would appeal to church leaders for “anything”. When he can’t find time to get his family into a Washington DC. church, he now wants to use Christian’s to promote ObamaCare????
Yes, it seems yesterday he did a “conference call” with about 140,000 Church leader’s, representing 30 plus churches across the country, he delivered a speech dripping with guilt, presenting Health Care as a MORAL obligation and even using Biblical terminology to appeal to his audience like “many are ‘bearing false witness’ against a government run health care system”! OH MY!!!!! Are there any limits to the hypocrisy the Marxist Messiah will use to shove a system, that isn’t even clear to the legislators, down our throats???
It is time to question all of this Chicago styled manipulation coming from the White House. A cagey snake oil salesman was elected, and now we need to question why this sloppy legislation is being shoved through at light speed. And why is “Chairman O” stooping to new levels of hypocrisy to get it done? Why is he using propaganda about the citizens who oppose this “rushed, sloppily written legislation” by trying to vilify them? The far left wing of the Democrat Party has simply gone too far in supporting this madness born out of Saul Alinsky’s playbook. Create emergencies, make those who oppose you look like “the enemy” and vilify them and their cause by means of smears and demeaning them. Silence your enemies…etc, etc, etc.
I come from the school of thought and anything worth doing is worth doing right and that haste makes waste. Our Congress has shown us that pushing us irretrievably toward being a socialist nation is more important that representing the Will of the People. Their actions prove it hands down. Despite the fact that socialism has been a failed experiment every place it ever took hold, that it just makes citizens slaves of the state and breaks the economy of the nation. Ever wonder why left wing lunatics are so driven to discredit and eliminate God or the Higher Power from our society? From the Declaration of Independence, the document that gave birth to our nation we see:

If you remove “The Creator”, then one can justly say that mankind has NO INHERENT RIGHTS at all!!! They can then press the idea that left wing legislators promote all the time… that We the People just don’t know what is good for us and that we need to be “driven like cattle” to accept our fate and let them make all our decisions and run our lives? Now Obama is pressing the “Nuclear Option” before Congress. That being the option to change the rules of the Senate to require only 51 votes to pass legislation. This is an outrage that he is trying to make it so the wishes of constituents will be ignored. Apparently, our Commander n Cheat considers it more important to put us on the path to Socialism and government control over our lives, rather, than win another term in office, and is now willing to throw fellow Democrat legislators under the bus to accomplish this end!
I think the next Tea Party will be interesting. Sept. 10th – 12th the “astro turf crowd” will be converging on Washington DC, with their message, in great numbers. I wonder if legislators will be so willing to ignore them then? I haven’t seen any ads advertising on Craigs List to “pay for tea party protesters yet”, have you? Of course I have seen ads looking to pay people to “protest for ObamaCare”. Which crowd is the “astroturf” here???
Things can happen quickly…
This post is to explain why I’m not as active with the blog as I have been. On July 16th I was in a horrible car crash. I went to the wreck yard today to get what I could salvage of my personal possessions, from the car. It was a sobering experience. I was going to take a photo of the car, but could not bring myself to do it. The top was cut off from where emergency crews cut me from the wreckage and the two front wheels and tires and several broken pieces of the exterior were inside, as well. Where the airbags deployed, there was dried blood, my blood. I had a cut at my right eye to my hairline that clipped an artery and required an emergency stop at a closer emergency room to stitch up since the paramedic couldn’t stop the bleeding. Had they not been called so quickly, I think I may have bled to death. I feel such a huge debt of gratitude to those who worked hard to save my life.
4 days in the hospital trauma center (with no health insurance, as I’ve been unemployed since January) and was told that I had compression fractures on the L1 and L4 vertibrae and an inverted compression fracture on the T12, plus an injured left shoulder. Between bouts with pain and physical limitation, I can handle being on the computer maybe 15 minutes at a time right now. The good news is that, being a “problem solver” by trade, I have many irons in the fire to try to resolve this issue with my injuries, monitoring my blood sugar to promote healing, etc. I am blessed with great family and friends, and a strong bond with my savior. I am in a body brace right now, but as my strength returns I am doing more. Tomorrow marks the second week since the accident.
My trip to the wreck yard today was enlightening. I staved off a cancer threat twice and remember thinking at the time, “obviously God is not done with me yet”. But today was enlightening beyond that. The man who took us out there was very kind and helpful, especially since I could not stand very long. He helped my nephew move things around and get to what I needed to retrieve. He then pointed out a black sedan that was badly wrecked, but not to the extent my car was. He told us that the young woman driving it and 5 of her passengers were killed. He has known this gal for 30 years. I just sat there and gave quiet thanks to God, as my injuries will heal, and my son who was with me was not injured. I thought about when I first came home from the hospital, how depressed I was and wondered why God didn’t just end it. But after prayer, I kicked into “my mode” and when I wasn’t napping, I started thinking about “what I could do” instead of what I was “powerless to do”. When you talk with him, God simply works that way. I give my thanks to him and all the wonderful people who came to my aid.
So now you know my status and my heart. I’m not done blogging, and I’m not done walking toward the Lord’s light either. But I will be slow to post and respond for awhile. Please bear with me if you see posts going up “in parts” or if you comment and I don’t comment back. It will only be for a while. Please enjoy the devotional below. I meant to post it Sunday, but didn’t get it done. It somehow seems more appropriate today. God Bless.

God Will Fulfill His Purpose for You
I cry out to God Most High,
to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. [Psalm 57:2]
David composed Psalm 57 when he was surrounded by his enemies, who were like “fierce lions” (57:4). Thus he cried out to God for mercy and protection: “I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me” (57:2).
The high elevation of God emphasized in the title “God Most High” (’elohim ’elyon) is reiterated in the refrain of Psalm 57: “Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens! May your glory shine over all the earth” (57:5, 11). God is more glorious, more powerful, and more worthy of praise than anything else in all creation.
Thus when David says that God “will fulfill his purpose for me,” this is not some hopeful wish, but rather a confident conviction. Because God is “Most High,” he has the power and authority to do whatever he desires. He will bring to fruition his plans for David. . . .
And for us too. If we put our trust in the Lord, if we seek to honor him with our lives, then he will fulfill his purpose for each one of us. We find an echo of Psalm 57:2 in the first chapter of Paul’s letter to the Philippians: “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (1:6).
Sometimes it can seem as if our lives are pointless, filled with empty routines. Our plans and hopes are scuttled by an economic crisis, a physical illness, or a broken relationship. We can become discouraged, fearful that our efforts will add up to nothing. In these times, we are encouraged by the truth of Psalm 57:2 and its echoes throughout the Bible. God will, indeed, fulfill his purpose for you.
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION: What is God’s purpose(s) for your life? How have you experienced God’s faithfulness to fulfill his purpose for you?
PRAYER: Gracious God, what a marvelous affirmation and encouragement in Psalm 57. How good it is to know that you will fulfill your purpose for me. My heart yearns for this reality, so that my life might really matter. Let it be so, Lord! May your plans for me come to fulfillment.
Help me, O God, to know your purpose for me so that I might cooperate with you each day. Teach me to live for your purpose every moment, wherever I am.
Today I’m reminded that you are not just any god, but God Most High. You are more powerful, more glorious, more gracious, more majestic than any being in all creation. “Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens! May your glory shine over all the earth!” Amen.

While Al Gore continues to mutter about losing the election to George Bush, his life isn’t a total wash. Mr. Gore has increased his net worth by accomplishing the one thing that few people in the world are capable of doing: fooling most of the people, all of the time. Uncle Al has become the de facto spokesmen for global warming alarmists, such as Professor John Holdren, noted in science perhaps by the frequency of being wrong. Dr. Holdren, a former science advisor to the President of the United States, heads the now infamous Woods Hole Research Center … the place guaranteed to produce amazingly entertaining end-of-times theory.

Cap And Trade: Al Gore has likened his crusade against global warming to the world’s struggle against Nazis. He said this while speaking in a country that is organizing a team of environmental storm troopers.
Gore didn’t come right out and call global warming skeptics Nazis while addressing an audience at Oxford University in England. But then, he didn’t have to. By simply violating Godwin’s Law — which essentially says that an argument dies the moment someone makes a comparison to Nazis — in the way he did, Gore labeled anyone who opposes his agenda a fascist.

God’s Perspective on Human Goodness
God looks down from heaven
on the entire human race;
he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,
if anyone seeks God.
But no, all have turned away;
all have become corrupt.
No one does good,
not a single one!
[Psalm 53:2-3]
If you have a sense of déjà vu when reading Psalm 53, it’s because this psalm is virtually identical to Psalm 14. Those who collected the psalms must have believed that the message contained in these ancient poems was so important that it was worth repeating, almost verbatim.
Psalm 53 begins by criticizing fools who deny God’s relevance to their lives and therefore commit all measure of evil. From our perspective, it would be easy to begin to think of people we know who fit this mold, people other than ourselves, of course. But then we get to verses 2 and 3. Here, God looks down upon all people and sees all of us to be lacking in goodness. The divine conclusion: “No one does good, not a single one” (53:3). With hyperbolic rhetoric and poetic intensity, the psalmist underscores the truth that all of us, to one extent or another, share in the folly of those who reject God and do what’s wrong. Thus we mustn’t let the fact that some “fools” are more foolish than we are become an excuse for us to ignore our own failure to live according to God’s wisdom.
In Romans 3, the Apostle Paul quotes this passage from Psalm 53 (or 14, see Rom. 3:10-12). He concludes that all people have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (3:23). This bad news of human folly sets up the good news of the Gospel: “Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins” (3:24). Thus we must not boast of our right-standing with God, since it’s nothing that we have earned. Rather, we humbly and gratefully receive God’s grace and seek to share it with those who are still caught in their folly.
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION: Do you ever look upon others in their folly as a way of building yourself up? How might Psalm 53 alter your perspective and practice?
PRAYER: O Lord, you know how easy it is for me to look upon the folly and evil of others in order to build myself up. I can think, “At least I’m better than them!” But this psalm reminds me of my own folly, even in thinking that somehow I am categorically better than others. Today I’m reminded of the fact that all have sinned, including me. Left to my own devices, there is no way I can cleanse myself of sin or be righteous in your sight.
Yet you have done what I cannot do. Through Christ, you have declared that I am righteous. You have drawn me into a right relationship with you, so that I might live in a new way, set free from folly. Help me, dear Lord, to live each day for you and by your power. Though I will continue to sin, may sin’s hold on my life diminish. May I flourish in goodness because of my relationship with you.
All praise be to you, gracious God, because, having seen the evil of humankind, you reach out in love to save us . . . including me! Amen.

Why I question the values of mainstream America.
On June 26th America was shocked by the announcement that an American pop icon, Michael Jackson, had died suddenly at age 50. Where I see Mr. Jackson’s passing as a tragedy and feel sympathy for his family and friends, I also view Michael Jackson as a dysfunctional person who, in many ways demonstrated qualities that I would not want to see America’s children emulate.
As to whether or not Jackson was guilty of molesting children or not, his behavior on those occasions was beyond the pale of normal, mature adulthood. It is reported that he spent away his fortunes on rather “self-serving pursuits”. He did many good things during his life (supporting AIDS victim Ryan White for one), but overall didn’t do much more than the average American citizen would do for others. I will also make the point that Micheal Jackson was a celebrity and talent of phenomenal scope. I feel sorry for the fact that his overbearing father had the effect of creating huge issues for the ever lonely celebrity.
I feel Jackson’s passing was marked by the eruption of a major circus, courtesy of the mainstream media and those looking to profit from his passing. Instead of a dignified celebration of his life, we have been subjected to gossip and speculation about his death, heirs, and even the location of his grave site. He was entitled to be treated with reasonable dignity and respect from the media and fans, but instead we have been subjected to 11 days of National Enquirer coverage and watching the koolaid masses engage in worship of the fallen pop star. Where I feel for the family and children of Mr. Jackson, feel it’s unfortunate that his lifestyle may have lead to premature death, and feel sympathy, quite frankly I see nothing more in his contributions to society, than some great entertainment for which he made millions. Rest in Peace Michael, you have earned that much.
Now I would like to pay tribute to the real heroes who have fallen over the last few days since Michael Jackson died. It may just be me, but what these young troops have sacrificed for us and our country moves my soul much more than a passing icon ever will. Condolences and love to the families and loved ones of each one of these heroes.
Michael Jackson died on June 25th 2009 and was buried on July 7th.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died from wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle June 29, in Baghdad, Iraq. They were assigned to the 120th Combined Arms Battalion, Wilmington, N.C.
Killed were:
Sgt. 1st Class Edward C. Kramer, 39, of Wilmington, N.C.
Sgt. Roger L. Adams Jr., 36, of Jacksonville, N.C.
Sgt. Juan C. Baldeosingh, 30, of Newport, N.C.
Spc. Robert L. Bittiker, 39, of Jacksonville, N.C.

(USN) Petty Officer Second Class Tony Michael Randolph, 22, of Henryetta, Okla. died July 6 in an improvised explosive device attack on his convoy in northern Afghanistan. Randolph was assigned as an individual augmentee to Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan.
It is just my opinion that these young warriors have done more to defend my liberty and safety than any celebrity. I thank them and pray they are resting in the arms of angels.

Why the Crap and Trade Tax makes Conservatives angry
Let me start with Andrew Clavan’s brilliant explanation on YouTube (shamefully stolen from Social Sense) for the Far Left Wing response to the other side of the “Man made Global Warming Hoax” or any other “spend and borrow from our enemies” scheme. It is basically “Shut Up”!
Recently an FDA Employee put together some studies that gave evidence that Climate Change is something that has occurred throughout the history of the Earth and is caused by things beyond our control such as volcanic activity and changes with our sun. The carefully done study and supporting evidence did not go along with what the Obama White House and Democrats in Congress wanted, which was to stick the taxpayers with yet another Tax so they could have more of our money to squander, in the name of yet another “Crisis”. Their response at the EPA was to tell Mr. Carlin, in essence, is to “Shut Up”.
His study was barred from circulation within the EPA and was never disclosed to the public for political reasons, according to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, or CEI, a group that has accessed four internal e-mails on the subject.
CEI General Counsel Sam Kazman told WND, “His boss basically told him, ‘No, I’m not going to send your study further up. It’s going to stay within this bureau.’”
A March 12 e-mail to Carlin warned him not to have “any direct communication
with anyone outside NCEE on endangerment.”Carlin, a researcher who earned his doctorate in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in physics from California Institute of Technology, informed officials that two-thirds of his references were from peer-reviewed publications and defended his inclusion of new research on the topic.

If it looks like corruption, smells like corruption and tastes like corruption, it is for certain “We the People” are being scammed by this adminstration and the hidden agendas and special interests they promote.

Indianapolis, IN – School choice and educational reform were at the center of the budget fight, and in the end, the taxpayer and students won. This budget ends the unquestioned support of the failing public education system, and creates a spark for alternative educational choices to be created. The General Assembly passed a pilot program for online virtual schools, and created a $2.5 million a year tax credit for private schools. The destructive caps for charter schools on charter schools have been removed, which may provide additional future funding through grants.
“The last 175 days of the General Assembly have been a disaster,” said Libertarian Party State Chairman Sam Goldstein. “It was a disgrace that over $150,000 went into the pockets of old party professional politicians who squabbled like children. In the end, there was at least one shining spot in all of this: a chance to educate our children in a proper and effective manner. Our public education system is totally broken, and should no longer be supported. This was a step in the right direction, but does not go far enough. The Libertarian Party of Indiana will run 100 State House and 25 State Senate candidates to ensure that total education reform is implemented.”

Officials described the offensive — dubbed Khanjar or “Strike of the Sword” — as the largest and fastest-moving of the war’s new phase and the biggest Marine offensive since the one in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004. It involves nearly 4,000 newly arrived Marines plus 650 Afghan forces. British forces last week led similar, but smaller, missions to clear out insurgents in Helmand and neighboring Kandahar province.
“Where we go we will stay, and where we stay, we will hold, build and work toward transition of all security responsibilities to Afghan forces,” Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Larry Nicholson said in a statement.

SORKHDOZ, Afghanistan (Reuters) – Thousands of U.S. Marines stormed deep into Taliban territory in an Afghan valley on Thursday, marking the start of a major new effort by the Obama administration to regain the initiative in the war.
The Marines met little resistance on day one of Operation Khanjar, or Strike of the Sword, to seize almost all the lower Helmand River valley, heartland of the Taliban insurgency and the world’s biggest opium poppy producing region.
One U.S. Marine was killed and several others were wounded during the day, the Marines said in a statement, adding that they had not received any confirmed reports of civilian casualties or damage to property.

However the offensive was overshadowed by news of what the military said is the first capture of an American soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan in two to three years.
“A US soldier who has been missing since June 30 from his assigned unit is believed to have been captured by militant forces,” said US military spokeswoman Captain Elizabeth Mathias. “We are using all of our available resources to find him and provide for his safe return.”
A commander of the Taliban’s Haqqani faction, named Bahram, said his militia had captured the soldier in Paktika province, along with three Afghan guards.
He said the soldier had been taken to “a safe place” and demands would likely be made for his release.
“Our leaders have not decided on the fate of this soldier. They will decide on his fate and soon we will present video tapes of the coalition soldier and our demand to media,” he said.
The US military has described the al-Qa’ida-linked Haqqani network as one of the “most lethal Taliban organisations”.
The missing soldier was captured outside his base and was not part of the new US-led operation, in which about 4000 US marines and 650 Afghan troops mobilised yesterday with orders to clear the southern region of militants and restore government services.

Having received the latest newsletter from Cat Moy, Executive Director of Move America Forward, that has become first and foremost, on my mind for this Sunday. It goes like this:
We can’t Forget American Father’s in Iraq and Afghanistan
While we are enjoying our families during this Father’s Day, sharing time with our children, we have close to 100,000 father’s who are in Iraq and Afghanistan without the joy and pleasure of being home. They are lonely as they heroically do their duty of protecting America by defeating the terrorist threat in the Middle East.
Move America Forward is trying to send care packages of goodies that our military men and women want. We are sending their favorite Oreo cookies, jelly beans, Gatorade, premium beef jerky and coffee. In addition, small comfort items that are sometimes hard to come by, like lip balm, baby wipes, deodorant and bug repellent.

Today, as I watch our spineless “Community Planner-in-Chief” spend his day making yet again, a mockery of the Constitution of the United States and blowing away our national dignity, I wish to make yet another point about this “insane regime”.
I would like to personally send a message to the Senate and House of Representitives. “Hey Congress, We the People are coming”!!! We are inconveniencing our lives and loved ones, spending money we don’t have, putting our important issues on the back burner, all because you have done such a dismally poor job! We are sending you a message that you will not ignore lest you pay the price in 2010! The day of reckoning for your horrible records of spend, spend, spend and accountability for your irresponsible behavior is coming and We are coming!!!

A lady in Arizona wrote Glenn Beck and what a letter it is!
On Glenn Beck today he read a letter written to him by a lady in Arizona. You must read it, as it speaks of the movement to stop this insanity with our Congress and President. It says everything those of us who have watching the unprecedented power grabs and fiscal irresponsibility have been feeling. I am putting up the last two paragraphs, but please go to the site and read the letter in it’s entirety.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your re-election and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate, I guarantee you, not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we’re so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the ‘formerly silent majority’, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. For those leaders who do not understand what is being expressed by LARGE NUMBERS of American citizens who are fed up with the games people play in Washington, DC, let me give you the Cliff’s Notes version.
- We the People are sick of our elected leaders IGNORING We the People and legislating according to what special intestests, lobbyists, political party bosses, Union bosses, and campaign financeers WANT!!!
- We the People are sick of reckless fiscal behaviors on the part of the leaders in Congress. It’s not your money, it’s ours!
- We don’t want Government Health Care, Amnesty or money going out for pork projects.
- Quit taking a massive dump on the Constitution on a daily basis! Read it, use it as a guideline for what you are doing, and RESPECT it!!!

Defending Truth, Humility, and Justice
In your majesty, ride out to victory,
defending truth, humility, and justice.
Go forth to perform awe-inspiring deeds! [Psalm 45:4]
When I was a boy, I loved watching the Adventures of Superman on our black-and-white Motorola television set. How I longed to be just like that “strange visitor from another planet” who fought a “never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way.”
Superman, ironically enough, has much in common with the king who is praised in Psalm 45. This psalm is unusual in that it is addressed, not to God or to the people of Israel, but to the king on the occasion of his wedding (45:13-15). In verse 4, the psalmist urges the king to “ride out to victory, defending truth, humility, and justice.” That’s not exactly “truth, justice, and the American way,” but two out of three ain’t half bad.
When we pray for our leaders, as Scripture urges us to do (1 Tim. 2:2), we should ask the Lord to lead them in the ways of truth, humility, and justice. Yet Psalm 45:4 also provides a model for our behavior in the world. We too are to be people of truth, humility, and justice.
As people of truth, we will speak and live in a way that reflects God and his revelation. In a world of falsehood, in which truth itself is under attack, we will seek the truth in all things, stand for the truth in what we say and do.
As people of humility, we will never speak the truth in a way that is haughty, as if the truth belongs to us. Moreover, we will always see ourselves as subjects of the King of kings, and offer our lives to him and to others as servants. Thus we will imitate the humble servanthood of Jesus.
As people of justice, we will treat all people fairly and will work for a world that offers justice to all. We will be especially committed to doing justice for the poor and powerless. Where we have been given authority, in our work, our families, our churches, or our community, we will strive for just systems that reflect the character of God.
When you “ride out” today into the world, defend truth, humility, and justice as God’s viceroy, God’s servant.
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION: How can you express your commitment to truth today? How can you live with humility? How can you seek God’s justice in your part of the world?
PRAYER: O Lord, even as the king was to be a person of truth, humility, and justice, so am I. You have called me to speak and to live truthfully. I am to imitate the humility of Jesus and to seek your justice in all things. Help me, dear Lord, to be this kind of person in all that I do.
Even as I go through this day, may your Spirit bring to mind ways that I can be more truthful, more humble, and more just. To you be all the glory. Amen.
Apocolypse in the here and now – The Sunday post.
According to an email recieved, a pastor’s wife wrote this in biblical prose as a commentary of current events. In my humble opinion, it is chillingly accurate. If anyone knows for certain who the author is, please leave a comment and let me know, as I would love to give this individual credit for this excellent work.

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America , having lost their morals, their initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as “The One.”
He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, “I am sent to save you. My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence; for I shall save you with Hope and Change.
Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed.” And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what “The One” would do, he had promised that it was good; and they believed.
And “The One” said “We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!” And the people said, “Hallelujah! Change is good!”
Then He said, “We are going to tax the rich fat-cats.” And the people said, “Sock it to them!”
“And redistribute their wealth.” And the people said, “Show us the money!”
And then He said, “Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody”
And Joe the plumber asked, “Are you kidding me? You’re going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats?” And “The One” ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe’s personal records were hacked and publicized.
One lone reporter asked, “Isn’t that Marxist policy?” And she was banished from the kingdom!
Then a citizen asked, “With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with radical terrorists?”
And “The One” said, “Simple. I shall sit with them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!”
Then “The One” said, “I shall give 95% of you lower taxes.”
And one, lone voice said, “But 40% of us don’t pay ANY taxes.”
So “The One” said, “Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah! Show us the money!”
Then “The One” said, “I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!”
And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed.
And He said, “I shall mandate employer-funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the clinics.”
And the people said, “Give me some of that!”
Then he said, “I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas.”
And the people said, “Where’s my rebate check?”
Then “The One” said, “I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!”
And the people said, “Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don’t care for that part about higher electric rates.”
So “The One” said, “Not to worry. If your rebate isn’t enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!”
Then He said, “Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let’s grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, and bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing…”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!” And they made him King! And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.
Then “The One” said, “I am the “The One” – The Messiah – and I’m here to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!”
But our foreign trading partners said unto Him, “Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more…”
And the people said, “Wait a minute. That is unfair!”
And the world said, “Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!”
And the people cried out, “Alas, alas! What have we done?”
But yea verily, it was too late. The people set upon “The One,” spat upon him, and stoned him, and his name was dung. And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance, shelter, or hope. And the Change “The One” had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, “Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!” But it was too late, and their homeland was no more.
You may think this is a fairy tale, but it’s not. It’s happening right now!

HAM’s Buyout/Stimulus Plan
I have come up with a brilliant idea. Let’s take the money still in the Stimulus coffers and call it “Cash for Career, Corrupt Politicians”. It will work much like the GM Buyouts. It is as follows:
1. All members of the House of Reprehensibles that vote for Nancy ’s Health Care Plan today, will be given a buyout. Enough cash to buy a nice hovel in their choice of Venezuela , Cuba , China or North Korea , plus allow them to have their cushy “public servant retirement checks sent to them each month”. Since they will have the government run health care of their dreams, we will save the taxpayers lots of money nixing that benefit.
2. To assure the transition is complete, a “Cash for Moonbats” program will be activated. The leader of the Socialist hovel of the Congressman’s choosing will be “paid off” to permanently accept their new “citizen” and grant them instant citizenship along with the family members who choose to migrate along with them.
3. A relocation allotment will be given to ease the burden of an international move.
4. Their position in the House of Representatives will then be given, via special election, to a new citizen who knows how to read a bill before they vote on it.
5. The American people will do a special two week observation of the effects on the stock market, performance of the House of Representatives and the Economy to note the total effect. If the effect is positive, they will then repeat the program for the Senate. If that works for the good, and stimulates the economy, the program can then be extended to the state level and even be done for the mainstream media and celebrities who think America is an evil entity and they want to live under socialism.
Personally, I think my plan has merit. It’s a Win-Win deal for everyone! Did I leave out anything??? I also believe given the actual value of the individuals we will be moving out… we would save the tax payers billions! If GM can do this, We the People surely could! What say you????
