I have a problem with Mr. Obama that won’t go away.

Thank you to all our military, past and persent, for all the freedoms that I take for granted daily and for sacrificing their physical well being and many times their lives to keep us all safe and secure at home.  God Bless.  They are what makes me feel safe… the fact that such men exist in this country in great numbers and always have.  Barack Obama obviously doesn’t appreciate this fact since he was in there a few months ago implying they were killing innocents in Iraq.  This is my biggest problem with him, but there are other problems I have with Mr. Obama. 

Other problems I have are, first of all, the fact that he wants to be President of this county but refuses to wear a flag lapel pin that all the other members of Congress wear.  The flag is symbol of something bigger than us all.  It is a symbol of what men have fought and sacrificed life and limb to protect… Our Country!  Regardless of how anyone feels about any given war this country has been engaged in, there is not a more selfless act anyone can do than to “put it all on the line” to defend their home, hearth and brothers-at-arms.  I have a problem with a man who would not want to follow in the tradition of Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, Kennedy , etc (in that the flag meant something to them) and feels offended about wearing a flag lapel pin.  And then there is the fact that he has been photographed just standing with his arms at his sides during the National Anthem.  The hand on the heart honors those who have paid for our freedom in blood, the fact that our heart is pumping and we have lived our lives in a free and prosperous nation, is a debt we owe to a lot of 18,19, 20, etc year olds who gave up their opportunity to have such a life on beaches like Omaha, Iwo Jima, etc.,  so I look at it as millions of us not yet born, got this terrific life because those selfless young men went out there and defended our democracy and way of life.  That is worth more to me than a gesture like placing my hand over my heart, but there is no way to repay that debt, so the hand goes on the heart everytime.  But not so with Obama.  He can dance on TV with Ellen, but he can’t put his hand on his heart during our National Anthem.

Now I place a lot of value in what is written and said on “Front Page Mag” because I have never seen them fail to give sources and I have never seen evidence later that what was said was a falsehood.  I also put great creedence in what Bridgette Gabriel has to say… she lived in the Middle East throughout her childhood and knows and understands the mindset, culture and religion that dominates and abuses those who think or believe differently.  Here is a link to what she has on her blog about Obama’s religion that he is so proud of.

Both articles further the reservations I have about him ever making it into the White House.  I want a President who is proud to represent this county and all that it is.  Now I can appreciate Obama’s honesty about having used drugs in the past, but that is about it.  I look at him and I feel he doesn’t like this country and the red flags go up!  I look at him and it isn’t his youth or his color that I find scary, it is the fact he is running for this nation’s highest office and chooses the campaign trail to make a point that he isn’t wearing that little flag lapel pin because he isn’t comfortable with it.  So WHAT flag are you comfortable with Mr. Obama?   So that’s why I’m not comfortable with him at all.

Obviously I’m not the only one with feelings about who this man presents himself to be and who he may really be.  Hot Air writer Bryan has a piece on an article written by columnist Richard Cohen about Obama’s ties to Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, it’s minister the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. and Mr Wright’s publication Trumpet Newsmagazine and the Trumpeter Award reciepient, Louis Farrakhan (Red flags going up!).  I point you to this article and the links in it because Bryan and Cohen, by the author’s admission, seldom agree.
