Unbelievable!!!

Kind of hard to tell… which one is Doniger and which one’s the horse! Good thing she isn’t standing by the horses rump. Then it would be impossible to tell.
I find it difficult to understand feminism. But College Professors who teach “religious studies” and pretend to be enlightened about anything concerning the teachings of Christ as well, it just blows me away! Wendy Doniger who teaches at the University of Chicago School of Divinity, hasn’t heard the news… WE ARE ALL SINNERS in the eyes of God, but it is how we stand up to our mistakes that brings about grace.
She claims that Sarah Palin is NOT A WOMAN, and makes some pretty nasty commentary about things that are relatively private about Sarah’s personal life.
But I object strongly when anyone (and especially anyone with political power) tries to take their theology out in public, to inflict those private religious (or sexual) views on other people. In both sex and religion (which combine in the debates about abortion), Sarah Palin’s views make me fear that the Republican party has finally lost its mind.
Sorry Wendy, but everyone, even those in politics are entitled to their own views on any subject. I have not seen any evidence that Sarah Palin is “about forcing her views on anyone”. Every President and Vice-President we have ever had have had varying views on abortion. They are not in a position to maintain or do away with laws. That is why the majority of voters in any district vote for Senators and Congressmen. I don’t know about you, but I grew up in a country where the majority effects government and laws via their elected representitives.
Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman. The Republican party’s cynical calculation that because she has a womb and makes lots and lots of babies (and drives them to school! wow!) she speaks for the women of America, and will capture their hearts and their votes, has driven thousands of real women to take to their computers in outrage. She does not speak for women; she has no sympathy for the problems of other women, particularly working class women.
Oh boy… lets see… Sarah Palin is pro-life. If real women are defined as women who line up at abortion mills to murder their offspring, well, in my opinion, the only thing keeping “real women as you define it” from guppydom is your unwillingness to eat the aborted fetus afterward! And excuse me… Sarah Palin is a “working class woman” but you are so busy spewing your opinions without quoting any kind of sources that you probably didn’t notice. And who made you an authority on raising children while running a town and then a state? All I would say you do is stand in a classroom and spew your opinions without touching on fact or reality.
If you have a strong stomach for stupidity, like implying Global Warming is real without quoting any scientific facts… go here for the full article.
Another good blog post on this is at Per Christum.
The outrageously bad journalistic attempt by Heather Mallick at the cost of the Candian Public at the CBC is even more offensive as she implies the Republican Party didn’t need Palin on the ticket since they already had the “White Trash Vote” and states that Palin “has a toned-down version of the porn actress look favoured by this decade’s woman, the overtreated hair, puffy lips and permanently alarmed expression.” and goes so far as to imply that “Republican men are sexually inadequate”!!! All I can say is, the USA, when it comes to feminists masqarading as “professionals and enlightend human beings”, has nothing on Canada! This woman is an embarrassment to the many fine journalists who work north of the border. You can read the rest of this woman’s nausiating article here.

‘Chicago’ and the Wikipedia entry says it all.
The University of Chicago Divinity School is a graduate institution at the University of Chicago dedicated to the training of academics and clergy across religious boundaries. Formed under Baptist auspices, the school today lacks any sectarian tests or affiliations, despite having a largely Judeo-Christian numerical leaning in terms of its faculty and student body in line with other University affiliated divinity schools in the United States.
Thanks for the added info Scott. This is stuff that burns my biscuit! This woman’s agenda is so obvious!
