It’s Tea Party Time again!

T.E.An505176532_8652

Well Laura has many updates on the planned Tea Party in Indianapolis to happen on Independence Day, at the Indianapolis Tea Party Blog.

As details become available you can look for updates to be posted here on my blog or go to Laura’s link. So far, this is what is planned for Indy, which is still in a stay tuned mode, but very exciting as it will be an All State event. This means it will be an excellent opportunity to meet people from all over our state and I am sure, once again heard some great patriots speak!

The Next Event

We are planning an all Indiana Independence Day Tea Party for July 4th right here in Indianapolis (in concert with the National Tea Party Leadership)!  So mark your calendars!!  We are hoping that fellow Hoosiers from around the state will all come to the Circle City to join with other Hoosier Patriots in “Declaring Independence from Tax and Spend Politicians”! The details of the event are still in the works and we will be updating all of you soon!  To help make sure that the entire state is represented, we will be working with other Tea Party Organizers from around Indiana who were involved in planning their own Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th.   Also, and most importantly, we will be NEEDING volunteers to help make this event as successful as the Indianapolis Tax Day Tea Party was! I will be sending an email out and updating this site within the next week or so to let you know what the needs are and how you can get involved.

And then there is planning going on for a Nationwide Tea Party this fall in Washington, DC.

March on Washington

We hear you! We know that many of you are FIRED UP to take the Tea Parties to DC!  Our Leadership Team is contacting the many different organizations that are planning a DC event and will be determing which organization to partner with.  Again, once this decision has been made, you all will be the FIRST to know!! But yes, just so you know, Washington DC is in our sites!

And another organizational note of interest to think about is signing up for Indy Defenders of Liberty - small groups on MeetUp. (Laura explains how this works in concert with the Tea Party function).

I want to continue to encourage all of you to either join an existing small group (for a listing, go to the Forum “Small Groups” in the Message Boards) OR if there isn’t a small group in your area, step up and take the lead and start one! It really is a great way to connect with other like-minded Americans! Do a book study (“5,000 Year Leap”, “Liberty and Tyranny”, “The Forgotten Man”, etc.), get involved with a local charity, discuss ways to improve your community, or just spend time discussing current issues (that ALONE will make for one interesting meeting!!). Just get connected and get involved!! Also, an Indy Defenders of Liberty gathering is in the works. Our group has certainly grown since our first meeting (The Glenn Beck “We Surround Them” meeting) and it would be great to get us all together again to reconnect! More information to follow.

Feel free to check back here for updates and ask questions. I will make this post stick so it will stay on top of the blog page until after July 4th.  So make plans to celebrate our Constitutional rights and liberties with fellow Hoosiers over our most patriotic holiday.  Come out and make your love for liberty and your country known.

  3. You know Tim, we are probably already on it just based on giving our “how dare you” opinions on His Barrackness. :-) but since I did 2 tea parties in April… I’m sure I’m destine to be at the top of the list in this state. LOL!!!

Did you read Ann Coulter on the left wing attacks on Miss USA California, Carrie Prejean? It was right on target and very funny. I’d love to go to a tea party with her.

  4. Ann’s piece on Prejean was BRILLIANT, wasn’t it?
Hi, Hoosierarmymom…….your blog’s a Public Service Announcement. Thanks SO much.

  5. I don’t know where they are z. I just know I’m wondering why it is that our “public servants” are leading a witch hunt when they are witches themselves. Seems there is no limit to what Capitol Hill will do to waste our tax dollars!

Man, I know she has a sharp mind and wit that many hate, but I think Ann is great!!!!

Maybe we can all get cells in the same cellblock z. Wouldn’t that be kewl. I wonder if they will let us keep our laptops?

  8. This is why the dems won’t shut down Gigmo. The terrorists will move into our houses while they move our tea parties to Cuba.

  9. The Democrats continue to demonstrate that they are stuck on stupid when it comes to National Security and keeping things safe in America.

  10. Time to remove them from our political sphere. Recall if possible, vote them out comes the time, Or….

    Comment by cmblake6 | May 29, 2009

  11. There are those who believe that incumbents need to be removed from Capitol Hill. I disagree with this idea. Without those who have worked according to their constituency, rode the unpopular wave of standing for real constitutional values, be it on both sides of the aisle, I think Congress would turn into a mire in ineffectiveness and would operate from a chaotic stance at best.

My thoughts… too many young people have been “dumbed down” to what our system is about and how it works. We need to educate them before the 2010 elections.

More voters need to figure out exactly what their elected leaders are doing on Capitol Hill and at their respective state houses. Follow them and then figure out for themselves what it means to their lives and vote accordingly. Get off the sofa, turn off American Idol and learn so an informed decision can be made at election time.

How many go to the polls with NO CLUE and end up electing an inexperienced, “owned by the special interest groups”, leader because they don’t dig and figure out the facts that affects them?????

  12. HAM…I’m totally with you on EDUCATING the kids…but throw in the general public, too! Indoctrination: NBC ABC CBS CNN MSNBC, etc. Somebody has to educate our kids to the great history of this country (A friend is a Big Brother here in the LA area and the teen aged boy didn’t know what Memorial Day was and was busy working on a paper on how awful Americans were to the Native American…) And we have to educate them to read and care about what you HEAR. We all saw that video showing obama voters in their mid twenties and up saying they had NEVER HEARD OF BILL AYERS or JEREMIAH WRIGHT..yet to hear CNN tell it, they ‘covered that extensively’. what RUBBISH.
    there’s a piece I think you’ll like at geeeez.

  13. I told you about this one, right? http://www.highplainspatriots.com/

    Comment by cmblake6 | May 31, 2009

  14. I’ll be over to check it out. And yes, the general public has been “dumbed down” for decades and those who didn’t sleep through Civics classes, have sat back in their own complacency and thought they didn’t have to do anything to keep America free… someone else will stand watch, someone else will serve, protect, and defend our Constitution, and oh yeah, we’ll send out kids off to college and not worry about what is being taught to them there.

The greater part of activism, is realizing mistakes have been made and then figuring out how each individual can set it right. Knowledge and education is a huge part of that, starting with one’s self of course. :-)
